Loose fitting clothing is preferred. We kindly ask for arms and legs to be free of moisturiser on the day of testing. Moisturiser can degrade the quality of the recording.
Yes. Small electrical impulses are felt during testing. There are no side effects from nerve conduction studies apart from this sensation. EMG can rarely be associated with bruising.
No additional information is required if only testing was requested. For a consultation, you should bring information regarding your medical history including list of medications and investigation results.
Only nerve conduction study and EMG testing is offered for WorkCover and TAC patients.
